Glued-in threaded rods exhibit high fatigue strength in wooden bridge construction even with elevated humidity and cyclic loading. A joint research project by Empa and Neue Holzbau AG provides, for the first time, practical foundations for the design and standardization of this connector technology in moisture class 2.
