In February, the small number of new orders coming in remains a problem for around 42% of companies, as the ifo Institute reports. In January, that percentage was still at 44%. The lack of incoming orders is a problem for the building construction sector in particular, where one in two companies (52%) reportedly struggle. In civil engineering, 28% of the surveyed companies describe the low number of new orders as a problem.

The ifo Insitute goes on to report that the majority of companies have a pessimistic outlook on business for the coming months.
