With the sale of a total of six subsidiaries of the Engelhardt+Geisbauer house construction group, the future of the Ziegler house building division has been secured.
The buyer is the recently established FBSL Holding GmbH. The purchase price will not be disclosed. Some of the shareholders in the holding company were part of the previous management of the E+G Group. Stefan Bauereiß, the previous managing director, will also remain in office.
The following subsidiaries are part of the transaction:
- Engelhardt+Geißbauer GmbH
- Schwebheimer Holzelementebau GmbH
- Sendel+Göß Haustechnik GmbH
- Zimmerei Mohr GmbH
- Mohr Holzhaus GmbH
- E+G Besitzgesellschaft mbH
The new owners announced that they would continue to operate all production sites and take on around 140 of the 170 employees. The brand name “Engelhardt+Geißbauer – The wooden house from Franconia” will be used in the future, too.
Ziegler’s insolvency administrator, Volker Böhm, emphasizes that the Engelhardt+Geißbauer Group has always been doing well financially. The order books are filled well into 2025, and production is close to full capacity with around 50 houses ordered. These orders will be processed under the new owner and will be delivered on time. The reason for the insolvency application last year was the obligation of the subsidiary to be responsible for the parent company’s losses within the Ziegler Group. This ultimately also put the house construction company in financial difficulties. According to Böhm, there was already keen interest in the established house building group before it had filed for insolvency.
