Austria's exports of glue-laminated timber dropped 7.2% last year, as figures provided by Statistics Austria suggest. This means that the volume of last year’s shipments was nearly 89,000 m³ short of what was exported in 2013. To Italy – with 596,000 m³ still Austria’s largest sales market for glulam – deliveries dipped 4% compared to 2013. Sales of 162,000 m³ of laminated wood products to Germany kept deliveries to that market almost stable (–1%). The largest declines were recorded to Japan: 143,900 m³ less meant a decrease of almost 40%.

However exports to Switzerland (+17% to over 68,000 m³), France (+11% to almost 56,000 m³) and Spain (+ 8% to 39,000 m³) showed remarkable gains.
