In July, Russia produced nearly 2.7 million m³ of lumber, i.e. 9% more compared to the previous month (June: 2.45 million m³). At 2.4 million m³, softwood lumber accounted for the majority of this volume, while hardwood lumber accounted for 220,000 m³.

According to Rosstat, a cumulative volume of 17.11 million m³ of lumber was produced from January to July. Year on year, this corresponds to a slight decrease of just under 1% (January to July 2024: 17.26 million m³). In the first seven months, softwood lumber production output amounted to 15.38 million m³ and thus also remained stable (+0.6%) compared to the same period last year.

In July, the average producer price of softwood lumber (across all assortments) was RUB 15,466/m³ (€164/m³) in Russia. This corresponds to a month-on-month increase of 14%. Year on year, the producer price was up by 2%, as figures published by Rosstat show.
