Sales of the German sawmill industry above last year’s level

Sales generated by the German sawmill industry increased both compared to December 2024 and January 2024.

In January 2025, the German sawmill industry generated €464 million in sales, recording a month-on-month increase of 32% or around €112 million.

The start of this year was also better than last year: Sales grew by 2% compared to January 2024, when Destatis had reported a turnover of €455.4 million.
