Lumber price index with a slight increase

In October, the Swedish lumber price index rose slightly compared to the previous month. Since January, it has seen a marked increase.

Statistics Sweden reports a lumber price index of 142.9% (base: 2020 = 100%) for the month of October. Compared to September, the index value rose slightly by 0.7 percentage points. The price index has seen a constant upward trend since the start of this year and is now 14.9 percentage points higher than it was in January. Compared to October 2023 (125.5%), the index value increased by 17.4 points.
