Doehring has completed a dual study program in mechanical engineering/production engineering and industrial engineering and has extensive experience as a managing director and manager in the wood industry. From 2005 to 2019, he worked for Klausner Group and Illim Timber , most recently as Managing Director of Dold Holding.
Doehring is known in the professional world as the former president of the Federal Association of the German Sawmill and Wood Industry (2015 to 2019) and as a board member of the European umbrella organization (EOS, 2012 to 2019). In 2020, he was a commentator for Holzkurier.
He will succeed Gernot Hormeß at Pfeifer Holz, who will retire in 2024. Doehring will take over the business areas for which Hormeß is responsible as a member of the Management Board.
