Russia with a decrease in exports of wood products

In 2022, Russia exports of wood and wood products decreased by one quarter compared to the previous year.
Last year, Russia exported wood, wood products and charcoal for a total of US-$8.97 billion, recording a 24% decrease compared to 2021. This is according to data published by the Russian Federal Customs Service.
The Pfeifer Group has completed and successfully put the new sawmill of its subsidiary Pölkky into operation in Kajaani/FI. As a result, the site’s production capacity will more than double.
