Sideboard price closer to those of main products

Softwood lumber price trend in November 2022

Since the last week of October, demand for packaging wood, and products for wood pallets in particular, has seen a marked decrease in Germany as well.

This brings the German sideboard price closer to those of raw wood for solid structural timber (KVH) and laminations for glulam – after months of having been much higher.

In Italy, there has also been a price correction in November. Prices of machined sideboards (17 mm, free border) fell by €15/m³ and are now ranging from €200 to €220/m³. Compared to the highest level reached in April, a 39% decrease was recorded.
