In April, the German sawmill industry generated sales worth €800.1 million. Month on month (March: €907.9 million), this corresponds to a decrease of around €108 million or 11.9%. Year on year, however, the sawmill industry recorded an increase of approximately 28%, and compared to April 2020, sales nearly doubled in April 2022.
In the first four months, sales totaled €3.16 billion, up by 47.6% compared to the same period of last year (€2.14 billion).
