Lumber price index up again

In the months from January to May, the Swedish lumber price index has seen a constant upward trend.

Statistics Sweden identified a lumber price index value of 183.8% in May (base: 2020 = 100%). Compared to April, it has increased slightly by 1.2 percentage points. Since the beginning of the year (January: 159.1%), the index value has risen by 24.7 percentage points. In May 2021, the Swedish lumber price index was at 150.2% and in May 2020, it was at 98.2%.

As you can see in our Datacube, the all-time high of 202.7% was reached in August 2021.
