Lumber prices keep falling

All three of the softwood lumber products which are taken into consideration for Holzkurier’s sales indicator saw further decreases in September.

Fresh laminations for glulam now cost between €330 and €360/m³ (free customer; purchase in bulk), which is still 75% more than in September 2020. In Italy, the prices of machined sideboards and raw planed timber also fell significantly, further widening the gap between the current level and the record highs in June and July. Prices of both products are still about 100% higher than last year, but there is a downward trend.
