In January, Austria exported 415,000 m³ of softwood lumber, i.e. 12% or 57,000 m³ less than in January 2020. Exports to Italy fell by 12% to 185,000 m³, while shipments to Germany rose by 7% to 78,000 m³. Softwood lumber exports to Slovenia contracted by 35%, bringing the total down to 34,000 m³.
Croatia received 17,000 m³ (+10%) in January, and 16,000 m³ (+7%) were sold to the US.
