In February, the German sawmill industry generated sales worth around € 460.4 million. According to Destatis, this is a year-on-year increase of 23.3% or € 87.12 million. As Holzurier’s Datacube shows, it was the highest sales recorded in the month of February and one of the highest sales which were ever generated in one month.
In January and February, sales amounted to € 875.98 million and were thus 15.4% higher compared to the same period of last year (€ 759.38 million) – the record year up until now. Compared to 2019, an increase of 14% was recorded, and compared to 2018, sales even grew by 22%.
