Last week, the record price for US softwood lumber (Western SPF, KD, #2 & better) saw a further $ 70 increase which brings it to $ 1130/1000 bft.

With a currency exchange rate of € 1.19/m³, the softwood lumber price reached € 613/m³ (actual size) on April 9, which is a week-on-week increase of € 32/m³. This is according to Madison’s Lumber Reporter. Compared to the same period of last year, the price nearly tripled. At the time, 2-by-4 Western SPF cost € 210/m³.

When shipped to the Great Lakes region, softwood lumber cost € 560/m³ ex-German sawmill.
