Record January for German sawmills

At the beginning of the year, the German sawmill industry recorded a big increase in sales.

In January, the German sawmill industry recorded sales worth € 415 million. As Holzkurier’s Datacube shows, it is the highest level ever reached in the month of January.

Compared to the same month of 2020, sales grew by around € 30 million (+7,6%). When looking back two and three years, sales increased by € 43 million and € 61 million, respectively. Compared to December 2020, they were up by € 67 million.
