In November 2020, the German sawmill industry generated sales worth nearly € 480.2 million which is a 1.5% increase compared to the previous month (October: € 472.9 million) and a 20% rise compared to November 2019 (€ 400.5 million).
From January to November 2020, sales amounted to around € 4.7 billion. In the same period of 2019, nearly € 4.5 billion, i.e. 5% less, were generated. Compared to 2018 (€ 4.6 billion), sales grew by 2%, and a 10% increase was recorded compared to the first eleven months of 2017 (€ 4.3 billion).
