The main assortment 2-by-4 remains constant, according to Madison’s Lumber Reporter. For the last five weeks, it has been unchanged at 960 USD/1000 bft. With the current currency exchange rate, European suppliers earn 527 €/m³, which is more than double the price recorded last year (256 €/m³).
However, given the fall in prices of other softwood sawn timber assortments, a slight correction is to be expected with 2-by-4 in the near future as well.
