US prices stabilize

After the most recent price rally, the softwood lumber markets in the United States has quietened down in July.

In the past two weeks, the price for 2-by-4 free Great Lakes region for instance settled down at about US-$360/1000 bft. With an exchange rate of about US-$ 1.13/€, European exporters currently receive €262/m³ which is still about €100/m³ less than last year.
