Despite cuts in production, main supplier Canada exported a constant volume of 10.1 million m³ of sawn timber (+1%) to the United States.

How were Europeans doing? Germany was able to increase its high volume by an additional 7% to 330,000 m³. Sweden, on the other hand, didn’t do so well: The country’s export volume fell by 30% from 153,000 m³ last year to only 109,000 m³ in the first four months of this year. Austria’s deliveries to the US grew by 18%, while Romanian exports dropped by almost 60%.
