61% of all Russian softwood lumber exports are delivered to China by now. With 4.3 m. m³, the Asian country bought another 760,000 m³ more than last year (+21%).
A strong increase was also registered for deliveries to Egypt. +25% to 310,000 m³ were the result. This means that just like the Scandinavian export nations of Sweden and Finland, Russia seized the opportunity presented in Egypt.
Most important European market is still Germany which bought 11% more at a total of 130,000 m³.
