Germany's sawmill industry reports a turnover of €394.1 million in February. Compared to the same month last year, this is an increase of 10.2% which makes it the highest February turnover since 2005. In the February of 2009, German sawmillers saw the lowest sales value on record for this month with €197.1 million.

Cumulated revenues of the first two months of the current year totaled €767 million which is also the best result since 2005. The €700 million mark has so far only been exceeded last year (€712 million) as well as in 2014 (€706.8 million). The lowest result for this period was €392.2 million - also in 2009, as Destatis figures indicate.
