Exports increased by over 600,000 m³ and half of this growth is thanks to orders from the United States. US imports increased by 60% and already amount to 830,000 m³. This is significantly more than the second-largest customer - Netherlands - has bought so far: 772,000 m3/yr (+6%). Austria therefore only comes in third: With 760,000 m³, the imports of the Alpine neighbor remained stable (-1%). This is the first time after many years that Austria was pushed off the throne of Germany's top customer.

This year, Germany has found new attractive importing countries. Exports to Australia, for instance, increased significantly: With a plus of 235%, the balance after ten months totals 162,000 m³. India imported 6% more and is now well-established in the list of top ten customer countries. Deliveries to Great Britain saw a kind of renaissance: +19% to 412,000 m³.
