Softwood lumber price below level of 2015

The all-time high is history: 2-by-4 free Great Lakes region only yielded €220/m³ for European exporters last week. With this, it even dropped slightly below the value of 2015 (€220.6/m³).

Compared to the same time last year, the price erosion amounted to -91 percentage points. In May, 2-by-4 was still sold for €400/m³ - which means the price almost halved. Two week ago, Random Lengths said that the downswing is coming to an end.
