Price slump stopped for now

The signs are mounting that the price for US softwood lumber has reached its lowest level for the time being. This seems to apply to 2-by-4: Free Great Lakes region, last week already saw a slight price increase of US-$4 to US-$391/1000 bft.

With a slightly weakened euro (US-$1.13/€), European suppliers receive €223/m³ which is €3/m³ more than in the previous week when this year's low was reached. The annual high was reached in May with €400/m³.
