US Price slump continues

The price for 2-by-4 free Great Lakes region lost 22% in the past nine weeks - before that, the US softwood lumber assortment saw its all-time peak level. According to Random Lengths, the value last reached US-$569/1000 bft.

Another strengthening for the US dollar stabilizes the prices for European exporters. During the aforementioned nine weeks, the price per cubic meter "only" lost 18% in euros. Last week, it reached €323/m³ which is still €51/m³ more than last year.
