Sawn timber prices keep falling

Article by Gerd Ebner (translated by Eva Guzely) | 09.07.2018 - 09:43

Last week, 2-by-4 prices were at 676 US-$ (free Great Lakes region), thus decreasing by 4 US-$ compared to the previous week and continuing their fall from the record price reached at the beginning of June (725 US-$/1000 bft).

At the same time, the Euro gained in value which resulted in a decline in prices for European exporters. At the moment, they receive 371 €/m³ (-6 €/m³) free Great Lakes region (actual size).
