Schweighofer sites searched by authorities

On Wednesday the Romanian Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) searched 23 different sites in Romania for the suspected trade with illegally cut timber. Locations and sites owned by Holzindustrie Schweighofer were also affected by the searches.

According to a preliminary company statement, Schweighofer’s administration is cooperative and has provided the authorities with all the information necessary to support the investigations. Various locations in Romania have been searched.

As of yet, Holzindustrie Schweighofer has no knowledge of further details regarding the extent of the ongoing investigations.
