Just before Easter, the holidays slowed down softwood lumber sales also in the USA. The increases in demand of the past few weeks did not continue as before. 2-by-4, however, saw a slight increase of US-$ +3 to US-$ 378/1000 bft free Great Lakes region. On a euro basis, this is 218.6/m³ ( +3.6/m³ compared to the previous week).
In the first three quarters, Japan imported less softwood lumber than in the same period last year. Different developments can be observed when it comes to the various supplying countries.
