Softwood lumber prices USA, 2-by-4, free Great Lakes Region © Martina Nöstler A slight increase was seen in US softwood lumber prices last week: 2-by-4 (SPF) free Great Lakes region inched up US-$ 6 to US-$ 451/1000 bft, figures published by Random Lengths suggest. Given a currency ratio of US-$ 1.394/€, this means an income of around € 209/m³ for the European suppliers. This is € 38/m³ less than a year ago when the price had been at € 247/m³.
