European Parliament objects to EUDR risk classification

The EU Deforestation Regulation is scheduled to enter into force at the end of 2025 for large companies and at the end of June 2026 for small and medium-sized enterprises. The risk assessment of individual countries which was part of the EUDR has been consistently criticized and has now been rejected by a majority of the European Parliament.
