Based on preliminary data, Destatis reports a year on year increase in turnover of all segments of the German construction sector. In the full year 2019, the main construction sector’s turnover grew by 5.1% compared to 2018. In the segment “carpentry and timber engineering”, turnover rose by 7% last year.
In December 2019, the main construction sector’s turnover was 4.6% higher than in December 2018. In the segments construction of buildings and civil engineering, turnover increased by 5.2% and 1.4%, respectively.
