The Business Climate Index for the manufacturing industries is declining. Satisfaction with the current situation has repeatedly decreased. Similar levels of expectations were observed in 2009. In August, the ifo Business Climate for the sector „manufacturing industry“ deteriorated from -4.3 to -6.1 points.
The sector "main construction business" also saw a slight decline. Builders have been slightly less satisfied. Still, they do not expect major changes of their business situation. With a decrease from 23.1 to 21.4 points, the business climate of the main construction industry is still doing fine.
