2025: Log harvest and damaged wood on the decrease

According to the 2025 Log Harvest Report by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Climate and Environmental Protection and Water Management (BMLUK), damaged wood accounted for around one third of the timber harvested in Austria in 2025. The total logging volume has decreased slightly compared to 2024.
