Storm “Dave” damaged 2 million m³

As announced shortly after Storm Dave (April 5), the Swedish Forest Agency Skogsstyrelsen completed its damage assessment on April 14. At 2 million m³, the volume of damaged wood is not as big as some feared.

Storm Dave caused greatest damage in the Götaland region. The counties of Västra Götaland (1 million m³) and Jönköping (500,000 m³) were particularly affected. The remaining volumes of damaged wood were reported in the counties of Östergötland, Kalmar, Kronoberg, Halland and Örebro.
