The Holzkurier’s editorial team forecasts that 90 million m³ of log wood will be harvested in Central Europe in 2026. Similar to 2025, 34 million m³ of this volume will be damaged wood. In the years 2018 to 2023, the average annual volume of damaged wood exceeded 80 million m³, while more than 100 million m³ a year were harvested in total.
