In its 2026 contracts for veneer logs and sawlogs, the Croatian State Forests Hrvatske šume (HR šume), Zagreb, have implemented substantial price increases for both hardwood and softwood. Oak log prices (pedunculate and sessile oak) were raised the most, generally by 25%. Beech log prices increased by up to 29%, while spruce logs are now approximately 18% more expensive for buyers.
