For the month of July 2023, the Austrian Timber Industry Association reports a log price index of 125.29% (base: January 2001 = 100%). Compared to June, the index value fell by 17.44 percentage points. Compared to July 2022, a decrease of 27.69 percentage points was recorded. The current index value is 37.51 points below the record value of June 2022 (182.8%).
The lumber price index fell by 9.98 percentage points month on month to 153.88% in July. Year on year (July 2022: 222.08%), the index value decreased by 68.2 percentage points.
