€130/m³ in Styria

In almost all regions of Styria, spruce/fir log prices ranged from €125 to €130/m³ in April. At €122 to €129/m³, prices were slightly lower than this new all-time high only in Eastern Styria. Compared to March, prices have risen by another €7 to €13/m³.

One year ago in May, spruce/fir log prices had reached €100/m³ for the first time.

Prices of pine sawlogs (B, 2a+) rose from a range of €76 to €84/m³ to a range of €81 to €85/m³. Larch sawlogs (B, 2a+) previously cost €115 to €142/m³. Now, buyers pay €119 to €145/m³.

As for groundwood, the Chamber of Agriculture of Styria identified a price range of €43 to €48/m³ in April. In March, this type of log wood cost €40 to €44/m³.

The price of quality wood chips remained nearly constant at €77 to €98/AMM.
