German softwood log exports to China grew by 241% compared to January 2019 and reached 352,000 m³. 53% of overall January exports were thus shipped to the People’s Republic.
A fall in exports was recorded on the other two Top 3 markets. 101,000 m³ (-13%) were exported to Belgium and 93,000 m³ (-21%) to Austria. Sales in Denmark also saw a marked decrease of 40% to 11,000 m³.
Softwood log exports to South Korea rose by 404% to 18,000 m³ in January and those to Luxembourg saw a 308% increase to 15,000 m³.
