Segezha buys sawmill with an output of 250,000 m³/year

Segezha Group took over Karelian Wood Company. The sawmill is located in Kostomuksha in Karelia near the Finnish border.

Segezha Group took over Karelian Wood Company (KWC) from Pin Arctic Oy Company/FI. This is according to a statement by Segezha. “At the moment, most of the sawn timber produced by Karelian Wood Company is exported. Our goal is to raise the production output and improve the site’s efficiency. All of KWC’s around 240 employees are going to be taken over”, explains Vladimir Vinogradov, vice-president of Segezha Group.
