In the first ten months of 2019, Germany’s beech log exports to China decreased by 16% (289,700 m³) compared to the same period of 2018.
According to Destatis, exports to Austria and Denmark increased by 27% to 245,000 m³ and by 28% to 45,700 m³, respectively.
However, there were significant decreases in German beech log exports to Slovakia (25,200 m³; -50%), Sweden (15,600 m³; -38%) and Switzerland (15.300 m³; -24%) from January to October 2019.
