According to figures published by the Slovenian statistics authorities, September continued a trend that had already started in July. This was the first time this year that a decline in value was recorded. Slovenian experts attribute this development to sinking quantities of traded roundwood.

Especially decreases concerning the purchasing assortments fuel wood (-18%) as well as sawtimber and veneer wood (-12%) were responsible for this process. Slovenia reported positive development in the monthly comparison for pulpwood (+13%) and other industrial wood (+7%).
