Pellet prices rise yet again

+40% in Germany

At the end of the year, the neutral pellet prices in the DACH region reached their highest level of the entire year. Prices are the highest in Switzerland, followed by Germany and Austria. Year on year, Germany pellet prices saw the biggest increase.

In Germany, a neutral pellet price of €275.1/t (excluding VAT, transport, and handling costs) was reached in December. Month on month (November: €271.2/t), it rose by €3.4/t, or 1%. Year on year (December 2024: €197/t), the price increased by €78.1/t, or 40%.

In Austria, a neutral pellet price of €221/t was recorded in December 2024. Since then, it has risen by €47.3/t (+21%) and stands at €268.3/t this month. Compared to November 2025 (€266.9/t), the price is up by €1.4/t.

In Switzerland, the neutral pellet price was €332/t in December. This corresponds to an increase of €8.6/t (4%) compared to November (€323.4/t) and of €23.4/t (+8%) compared to December 2024 (€308.6/t).
