German pellet price with the biggest increase

In September, the neutral pellet prices in all countries of the DACH region have increased compared to August. Germany saw the biggest price jump both month on month and year on year, while Switzerland only recorded a slight increase.

In Germany, a neutral pellet price (without VAT, transport and handling costs) of €231.3/t is recorded in September. Compared to August, the price rose by €16.9/t or 7.8%. In comparison with September 2024 (€188.4/t), it increased by €42.9/t or 22.8%.

In Austria, the neutral pellet price is €234.8/t in September, up by €6/t or 2.6% compared to August (€228.8/t), but only 20 cents higher than the price recorded in February (€234.6/t). Year on year, the pellet price increased by €19.5/t or 9.1% (September 2024: €215.3/t).

In Switzerland, the neutral pellet price rose by €3.9/t or 1.4% month on month to €290.4/t in September. Compared to the same month of 2024 (€284.5/t), buyers now pay €5.9/t or 2.1% more.
