Pellet prices with further increases in Germany and Austria

In August, the neutral pellet price in Germany rose by almost 3% compared to July. In Austria, an increase of just under 1% was recorded. Meanwhile, the Swiss pellet price remained below last month’s level.

In Germany, the neutral pellet price (without VAT, transport and handling costs) is at €214.3/t in August and thus up by €5.6/t, or 2.7%, compared to July. Compared to August 2024 (€191.3/t), an increase of €23/t, or 12%, is recorded.

In Austria, the neutral pellet price rose by €2.1/t, or 0.9%, from the July price of €226.7/t, reaching €228.8/t in August. Year-on-year, the pellet price increased by €13.7/t, or 6.7% (August 2024: €215.1/t).

The Swiss neutral pellet price was €284.3/t in August, down by €1.9/t, or 0.6%, compared to July. Compared to August 2024 (€279/t), an increase of 5.3 €/t or 1.9% can be observed.
