ProPellets Austria reports a price of €302.3/t for 6 t of loose wood pellets in July. Month on month, the price has risen by 0.7%. Year on year, it increased by 6%. Since the start of this year (January: €299/t), the Austrian pellet price has been up by €3/t.
In July, the pellet price index PPI06 is at 170.02. Heating oil is 78.2% and natural gas is 95.3% more expensive than wood pellets. The average per-delivery fee for blowing in pellets is currently €49.11.
The industry association proPellets Austria reports a price of €5.07 per 15-kg bag for bagged pellets. This price increased slightly compared to June (€5.04 per 15-kg bag); compared to July 2024, it is up by 2.7%. Loose pellets for commercial purposes (purchase quantity 17 t) cost €260/t in July. At +0.7% month on month and +6% year on year, the changes recorded here are identical to those of end consumer prices.
