In Germany, the neutral pellet price (excluding VAT, transport, and handling costs) is €208.7/t in July, down by 20 cents/t compared to June, but up by 8% or €15.2/t compared to July 2024 (€193.5/t). The highest price so far this year, i.e. €263/t, was reached in March. Since then, it has fallen by €54.3/t or 21%.
In Austria, a neutral pellet price of €214/t was recorded in July 2024. Since then, the price increased by €12.7/t or 6% to €226.7/t this month. Compared to June 2025, it is up by €1.5/t. In Austria, too, the highest level so far this year was recorded in March at €242.1/t. Since that month, the pellet price has decreased by €15.4/t or 6%.
In Switzerland, the neutral pellet price is at €286.2/t in July. Month on month, it fell by 50 cents/t. Year on year (July 2024: €267.7/t), it rose by €18.5/t or 7%. So far this year, the Swiss pellet price peaked at €330.5/t in February and has been down by €44/3/t or 13% ever since.
