Swiss pellet price down by 2% year on year

In February 2024, Swiss pellets cost CHF 488.2/t (€519.6/t) according to propellets.ch. Since then, it has decreased by 2% or €10/t. Compared to January 2025 (CHF 457.1/t), the pellet price has increased by 5%. In comparison with the lowest price of 2024, which was reached in the month of June (CHF 395.8/t), a 21% increase was recorded.

For a purchase quantity of 3 tonnes, buyers pay CHF 494.6/t (€526.4/t) in February, i.e. 5% more than in January. The per-tonne price for a commercial quantity of 17 tonnes of wood pellets also went up by 5% from January (CHF 426/t) to February (CHF 446.3/t). In February 2024, 17 tonnes of pellets cost CHF 455.2/t (€484.5/t), which corresponds to a year-on-year decrease of 2%.
